What we are

Doha Dish is an independent editorial directory covering every Friday and Saturday brunch worth knowing about in Doha. We're not affiliated with any hotel, restaurant group, or hospitality association.

Why we exist

Most brunch guides rate venues on five-star scales. We do one thing differently: every listing carries a verified last checked date instead of a rating. If we haven't recently confirmed the price, time, or package with the venue, we say so — so you always know how current the information is.

Analytics & transparency

As of June 2026, we use optional Google Analytics to understand which venues you find most useful. This is completely your choice — you can accept or reject analytics via the banner at the bottom of this page, and you'll have full access to the site either way.

We don't collect any personal information. The analytics data helps us improve the directory, understand which areas and cuisines are most popular, and make better decisions about which venues to feature or research further.

How we make money (or don't, yet)

Doha Dish is currently a hobby project, not a registered business. We make no money.

Our listings are verified by contacting venues directly — calling to confirm prices, checking menus, and reviewing packages. We don't fabricate details or guess.

If Doha Dish grows to a sustainable audience level, we may register as a business and explore revenue through a small number of paid featured listings (clearly labelled "Sponsored"), affiliate links, or a paid newsletter. If we do monetize, we'll register as a business with Qatar's Ministry of Commerce before accepting any payment. Any sponsored listings will be clearly labelled as "Sponsored," and both our editorial policy and privacy policy will be updated to explain commercial relationships and how we maintain editorial independence.

Editorial coverage will always be independent. We will never promote something we don't believe in.

Who's behind this

One person, based in Doha, who knows the brunch scene and verifies venue information directly. If you spot a stale price or a closed venue, drop us a note via the contact link in the footer.

In the future, if Doha Dish registers as a business, we may offer paid featured placements. Any sponsorships would be clearly labelled and transparently managed — a commercial relationship buys visibility, never editorial favoritism.
